Planning Your
Web Site is Perhaps the Most Important Stage |
|
Before you begin, decide what the
objectives and goals of your web site will be:
-
An internet presence?
-
A way for potential clients
to contact you?
-
An avenue for displaying
products and services?
-
Transacting sales directly
through a web site?
Visit a competitor's web site,
or sites with like services and products. Decide what you like about
the site and what you could do to improve on it.
Decide on your site's
content. Consider the site from a visitor's viewpoint. Put
together a folder with all the information you would like on the site,
i.e. photographs, logos, a mission statement, descriptions of products and
services, etc.
And finally, what brings
visitors be back to your web site? Usually it's pricing, variety of
content, and updated information. Plan and budget updates to your
web site.
